Talking to Our Father

Our Almighty God

I crave solitude… I love going on walks where it is just me and God and nature. Jesus often withdrew to be alone. He, too, cherished the time alone where he could talk with his father, his God.

But I have to remember, I can talk to God anywhere. It doesn’t have to be outside or just in church. Anywhere you can direct your thoughts and words to God, he is there and available. Isn’t that a comforting thought?

Here is a suggestion that the Bible offers:

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
