Reindeer in Koppangen


Since April, the reindeer have been walking in the Lyngenalps and enjoyed the good life in northern Norway. Yesterday, they were collected in a big ring-fence and then transported to Kautokeino.

The reindeer is an important income for many Sami people and an old traditional employment historically and today in our region. They are taking care of the meat, the skin and the milk and some reindeer are being used for sledding or packing.
